At Shannon Mozelak Design, we offer a variety of design services to accommodate our clients. Whether the project involves furnishing a home, partnering on a renovation, or building a new home, we are available to assist you in accomplishing all your project goals.
For new construction or renovations, Shannon Mozelak Design has proven to be an asset not only to their clients but also to the architect and general contractor. Being involved in the initial design process makes selecting finishes, cabinetry, tile, plumbing and lighting fixtures a seamless transition. We pride ourselves on executing a cohesive and efficient process for everyone involved. With over a decade of experience, we have built strong relationships with local builders, architects and vendors allowing us to extend the best service and quality to our clients.
TEAM
Shannon received her education and formal training from the Parsons School of Design. Shannon served an apprenticeship with a renowned decorator and was involved with the design and promotion of her mentor’s Kip’s Bay Show House vignette which garnered Shannon with many accolades. Shannon’s love of design is inherited. Her parents were in the building industry and she grew up learning first hand how to get a project done from soup to nuts. Previous to Shannon’s design career, she received her Bachelors in Business Administration and worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers providing tax consulting and compliance services. Her public accounting experience is a training which to this day she credits when considering and adhering to a client’s budget. Along with launching her design business nearly 10 years ago in Westport CT, she also co-founded the home interiors blog Design Serendipity and served as the Director of Business Development for Interior Design at Lillian August. Shannon continues to bring her clients creative designs and remarkable customer service. Shannon resides in Fairfield, CT with her husband, three kids and two step children.
Jody a Providence College graduate comes from a fashion industry background with expertise in merchandising, brand strategy and business development. Jody’s most recent roles have included Vice President of Strategic Partnerships for ASHA by Ashley McCormick, Vice President of Brand & Business Development for Lillian August and Director of Global Merchandising for New Business Development at vineyard vines ® where she oversaw the launch of Home, Retail Custom, 3rd Party Partnerships and the Promotional division. Previous to these roles, Jody’s career spanned time at Burberry working as a merchant under the direction of famed CEO Rosemary Bravo, included a role on the American Eagle new concept launch team for Martin + Osa, a leadership role at Coren Moore, Inc. as Brand Manager and includes startup experience and a successful run of the lifestyle blog and firm, Design Serendipity Interiors with SMDesign Founder and Creative Director, Shannon Mozelak. Jody resides in Westport, CT with her husband, 2 children and dog Pippa.
